View of the filled area on Campbell River's waterfront

This filled area on Campbell River's waterfront later became the Foreshore Park (now Robert V. Ostler Park). The Rotary Club, as a practical joke, put their sign on this reclaimed land. Use of the land at the time was undecided. It was proposed that it be either black topped to use as a parking lot or landscaped for a park. The Discovery Inn is visible on the left.
